"Blackmaggit" is the long-term online moniker of British fine artist Adam Charlton, based in Swansea, Wales and currently part of the Turps Correspondence Course 24/25 , where he continues to refine his practice in both drawing and painting.Adam's work is all about communication, intention and fluidity. He explores internal and external relationships through gestural mark-making and intentional use of color. Using a variety of mediums—including acrylic and oil on canvas—he enjoys experimenting with materials. The theme of the exhibition was to respond to artworks in the GV collection- I chose a piece by Frances Richards of the same title.
The exhibition was featured in the Guardian's. "Exhibition of the Week".

Named after an unreleased SOPHIE track and visually composed of both existing locations from memory and intuitive gesture.

Time-Travelling Self-Portrait

Self-portrait made in the artist's bedroom in lockdown during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic done in real-time using a mirror over the span of two days.
It marks an important time in the artist's development and stands out as a powerful symbol of strength and resilience.
Exhibited in the annual Glynn Vivian Open exhibition, Swansea in 2021.
